A robot to conduct search activities in collapsed structures. Based on the need the robot can be customised for working on land and water. The robot is useful for disaster search and rescue, surveys, and chemical and fire incidents.

A low-cost automatic flood early warning designed to generate flood and evacuation warnings through lights and sirens for communities. This solution has been recognized by a Coalition of Disaster-Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI).

Ranit Chatterjee is the Co-founder and CEO of DTECH Pvt Ltd, a startup focused on creating innovative technological solutions to address climate change and disaster management issues.
In his prior role, he has worked with UN agencies, national and local governments, NGOs, the Private sector, and Academia playing key roles in policy research, and innovative technological solution development.
He had previously worked with the IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a part of their research and innovation unit. Ranit holds a PhD in Environmental Management from Kyoto University, Japan, and a Master’s in Disaster Management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
He is an IRDR Young scientist fellow (Integrated Research on Disaster Risk), a CEM member of the IUCN business and biodiversity group, and an Advisory member of UNDRR’s Stakeholder Engagement Mechanism (SEM).
